Storyline
As Neo (Keanu Reeves) somehow becomes trapped in a train station between The Matrix and the real world, Morpheus, Trinity, and Seraph set out to rescue him by means of the Merovingian. As this is going on, the Machines are approaching Zion with the intent of laying waste to every human there, but they do not realize that something is taking over The Matrix, with the intent of destroying everything: Smith. After Neo is freed, he and Trinity take the Logos and make a beeline for the Machine City. The Machines have reached Zion and the battle of a lifetime rages on. However, there is one way to save Zion and put an end to the war, and that is Neo. He must venture into the Matrix and put an end to Smith's evil plans once and for all, and if he succeeds, Zion will live to see another day. It's like the Oracle says, "Everything that has a beginning has an end."

    Disappointing ending
I really liked the second one and how it ended. It suggested that they were still in the Matrix. I was hoping that the third one revealed that they never in fact escaped the Matrix but instead fell into a different one and that there was no way to truely know if one was free or not.
Instead they give the crap that Neo can access the MAtrix telepathically. Stupid.

You gotta take the good with the bad
This movie is one of the most difficult movies to review because it was both terrific and terrible all at the same time. I saw where the movies wanted to go I just had a hard time assessing whether or not they actually got there. So let me talk about the good and the bad about the movie as far as I am concerned.

Ok let’s start with the good. First off the effects were amazing and they did a really good job in touching up some of the scenes with digital effects because in the last movie they were a little sloppy in that department. The acting was on-par for the matrix movies so there is nothing unexpected there. There is also a lot of great action in the movie too.

The bad part is that the movie really doesn’t end and I would not be surprised if they would make yet another matrix movie. I was a little uncomfortable with the fact that it actually didn’t end I did however appreciate the fact that they were trying to be different but when you look at the outcome its not all that different than if Neo just sacrificed himself like the architect suggested. What is also not good is that with Reloaded and now Revolutions the story telling and concepts from the first movie were completely lost. There is no "rabbit hole - wonderland" concepts that were prevalent in the first movie. This wonder and storytelling is what captivated audiences and made the movie what it was but I was a little disappointed with the sequels.

Overall, the movie was decent certainly not as good as the original but still entertaining nonetheless. Personally I would see it again since it is better than some of the movies out now but this one you really got to see for yourself and form your own opinion.

Crappy when measured against the first movie’s measuring stick.
Otherwise the movie was just your average hollywood gone wrong type of movie. I do wish Neo had been involved in at least a part of the defense of Zion. I’m just apeing what’s already been said. lousy ending.

    What crap..
This movie is only good for one thing; proving that the first was only good on a fluke.

    SOOOOOO DISAPPOINTING…
To the brothers: scrap this one and try again. It’s such a let down how Neo was completely absent from the fighting at Zion. I mean, we came to see Neo kick some a@@ not negotiate! And the Agent Smith fight was cool visually, but the actual fight isn’t anything we haven’t already seen in the earlier movies. The CGI is cool and the Zion war scenes, but sorry, these can’t carry the film on their own. Also, the pacing was all jacked up like a TYPICAL HOLLYWOOD FILM… that is, all building of suspense, the std. waiting and preparing, hugging, praying, blah blah blah…then the BIG BATTLE with good vs. evil, then the explanation slash conclusion. The first movie avoided this formula entirely. I won’t even start on how ridiculous the actual conclusion is. I want to strike this film from my memory and write my own ending. A monkey could write a better script.

Crappy but Zion was cool. Horrible way to end the series.
