Typical thriller, with a nice little twist at the end
It’s not every day you get the chance to see people as talented as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie lower themselves to taking roles in mystery/suspense films. Luckily, they don’t disappoint. "The Bone Collector" stands out from the rest of the thrillers that were released at the same time because the plot and acting are actually good (plus the serial killer has a really original "calling card"). The movie won’t make you jump out of your seat or anything like that–rather, it will have you holding onto your seat, leaning back in dread as you try to figure everything out (just give up, it’s hopeless…this is one of the most unexpected endings you could ever imagine). The only reason this movie doesn’t get a 7/8/9 score is because the characters are unrealistically brilliant (this case would have never been able to be solved in time), and the audience is cheated out of hints and clues to analyze on a second viewing–like I said before, there is no chance to figure out who is behind everything…there are just too many red herrings.

An OK thriller.. won’t leave a huge impression.
Mediocre serial killer flick, good acting chops from Denzel and Angelina.
Don’t get your hopes up too high for this movie, and you’ll have a pretty good time.
A decent plot, with a sort-of coherent final twist. An interesting device in that Denzel is paralyzed from the neck down for the whole movie.
The actors are all pros, and the direction is competent.
It’s not an art film, it’s lacking in passion, and there isn’t much in the way of action pieces, but it’s got some intricacy to it.
And of course, Angelina is pretty cute in those cop outfits. And who really needs anything more?
Worth a rental, and not a bad idea for an evening in with pizza and your significant other.
Movie with promise, but the ending could be better
The movie was great, except when we find out who did. I think they should get rid of that tired Hollywood formula of the usual suspects. Besides that, the movie was quite gripping. Fortunately, it is a fictional account

The ending was created on an assembly line like so many other cookie cutter endings these days. Average Hollywood fare that will be well forgotten in no time….what was i talking about again.
If you are expecting a movie like "7" - skip it and wait for video.

Its a fun suspenseful movie.
I went to this movie not expeting much and was surprized when it started to get good. There a some slow spots toward the middle of the movie, but the begining and the climax were good.
Entertaining.
