Car chase scene was great…
I’m a sucker for post apocalyptic scenarios where I get to go road warrior…
I enjoyed it even more that the movie did not have some stupid feel good ending. It was gritty, down and dirty, and not too many cheesy one liners that really didn’t add much to the movie. Ok, there were several but it didn’t detract too much.
And of course you have to give the movie a little leeway and forgive some of the obvious plotholes (i.e. how did they get onto a top secret military base).
But all in all I enjoyed the movie, helped along by a bucket of popcorn and a soothing beverage from the concession stand. But christ, $8 is too much for a lousy drink and corn.
Lot’s of action, rather cheesy, depressing ending.
not bad at all.
i like how this movie didn’t exactly go over the top, and how arnold did not overdue it. it was quite subtle actually, and sometimes you wondered if it really was a ‘blockbuster.’ actually this was refreshing, and i think that was why i liked it so much. story line was good and it kept me engaged. . .
recommended!
A bit worse than the first, a bit better than the second
Fun.
Arnold is back…
It was hard to imagine that this movie could be any good without James Cameron’s involvement, but surprisingly, it holds up.
Despite being a young 58, Arnold looks great, and his character as played in T2 is played as we remembered. However, Kristanna Loken, who plays T-X, steals the show. She is one bad ass Terminator.
Claire Danes’ character is introduced and setup for the sequel. Her performance is average. Nick Stahl, playing John Connor, makes this score a weak 7 instead of a strong 7. His performance is weak at best. He appears to be very boyish and immature. One just cannot believe that he leads the human race after Judgement Day. Edward Furlong gave a much better performance, despite playing a younger Jon Connor. He should have been brought back to play this role, but I believe he is doped up somewhere in Hollywood.
The action sequences are up to par with the other terminator movies. The hand-to-hand fight between Arnold and Kristanna is excellent, as is this car chase that Arnold supposedly sprung for.
Yes, the one liners are there, and some are actually quite funny.
This movie would have been much better if the environments and mood were darker.
See it if you are a Terminator fan.
Without Arnolds $1.5 mil car-chase payback it would have been a 5.
(And to be honest I didn’t think the Terminatrix was that scary - and all that weapons crap … now I fear for T4 - it’s just gonna be all this post-apocalypse future weapons crap).
Overall I liked the movie, but I must say it was a pretty weak story.
The only actors who worked for their money were the terminators - all the humans were crap
Very well done action and beautifully setup for T4.
pretty decent.
the beginning really seems to have "made for TV" written all over it. acting was pretty weak and John Conner was unconvincing.
however we didn’r come to see T3 to be wowed by performances, we want to see stuff blown up. effects were decent enough and the car chase was excellent.
be interesting to see how T4 is going to turn out.
