On their way to Riker's and Troi's honeymoon, the Enterprise is sent near the neutral zone to Romulan space, and picks up a prototypic twin of android Data. Immediately they are further sent to Romulus, where a new praetor, Shinzon, a human cloned from Captain Picard who lives on the slave planet Remus, appears to want peace with the Federation. But then the crew detects a break-in on their computer systems, and Picard is captured by the Remans because Shinzon needs him as his only matching supplier of genetic material. Picard and the Enterprise can escape, only to find themselves battling Shinzon's completely cloaked Warbird, who is after the complete destruction of earth.Actors

Even as a fan of all things Star Trek, I found this one disappointing

Data dies and we get to go through the whole "data wants to be more human" crap again. Who cares
The plot was a tired star trek plot and they think we care more about the characters than we really do.
Not far behind First Contact
Thanks to the many negative reviews, I did not see this film until well after the release. Surprise! I was thoroughly entertained from beginning to end, and did not experience ‘cheesy effects’ or ‘poor story line’. I totally disagree with the critics on this one. This is a great movie! See it!
A few good space combat scenes but overall less then i hoped for.
Story needs more OOOOMPH
It’s not necessarily bad, but lacks the punch needed to make it exciting and great. The opening sequence is strangely discordant with the rest of the story…and from what I hear out of character for Picard and the rest of the crew. The plot takes too long to get going, and when it’s finally in full swing, it’s a let down. If you’re a Star Trek fan, you may love it, but the average shmoe (like me) won’t find much more than a mildly entertaining matinee.
Needed something more…
It had some interesting premises, but rather poorly executed, methinks, matey. Arrrr…
Still, it didn’t suck as bad aa the last one, but by the Time the plot really got going the movie was 2/3 over and the "twists" in the movie weren’t much of a twist at all.
Not the greatest Star Trek, but some of the effects were cool
