Johnny Depp is funny. - So is the pirates.
Pirates of the Caribbean, is a definite keep. It is too much confusion at times, yet, Johnny Depp’s make-ups save the whole film.
Not the same quality as first - more graphic and too long
The first was entertaining to all. This one was much too graphic (eyes being eaten by birds up close)and did not add to movie interest. Characters looked more from outer space than earthling corpse. Not entertaining for family goers. Wouldn’t buy or see again. Disappointing.

The references to the ride at Disney were worth the $8.50 - they snuck them in for just the right amount of cheese factor. Johnny Depp couldn’t have played Jack Sparrow any better, and Orlando Bloom was a dashing leading man (way better than Legoland, I mean, Legolas).
About 30 minutes too long
It wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be but that is okay. I just htought it was ending about twice and then the fight scenes went on and on to show the CG pirates…which were cool…but I just was ready to move on!!

i know a lot of people liked this movies, so i went to go see it but i actually didn’t think it was that good. . sort of LONG and tiresome. fight seens in the end were dragged out. i almost fell asleep. depp was good, though and so was orlando and the chick. . . just long, i think.
Overly silly, but does the job of entertaining

Yet another reason why I really like Johnny Depp
As already noted some of the fight sequences went on longer than necessary for the sole purpose of showing off the ghost pirates. While interesting the first couple of Times, said effects were repeated ad nauseum.
This really is a very average hollywood movie. It isn’t anything truly memorable or anything, however Johnny Depp’s performance as a notorious pirate is definitely a highlight of this film. Johnny D. is what made this picture a 7 instead of a 6 or a 5. The film has too many inconsistencies, cheap one liners, and showing razzle dazzle effects.
Oh yea. Keira is hot. Damn.
