High powered lawyer Claire Kubik finds her world turned upside down when her husband, who she thought was Tom Kubik, is arrested and is revealed to be Ron Chapman. Chapman is on trial for a murder of Latin American villagers while he was in the Marines. Claire soon learns that to navigate the military justice system, she'll need help from the somewhat unconventional Charlie Grimes; meanwhile, Claire's sister, Jackie, is falling in love with wet-behind-the-ears Lieutenant Embry assigned as the official defense lawyer. Just not much thrill in this thriller.
Too Tough on the Lead
It has a great story with a lot of twists, and something totally unexpected. I just thought the lead character was unjustly beaten up, with the threats, the car accident which made her lose her baby finally.
Missed the mark
OK, for any of you who have seen "A Few Good Men", you understand the integrity of the military justice system, this movie does not. Lets face it the lawyers were anything but strong players and they were even made to look weaker compared to the normal citizen. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy Morgan Freeman and Ashly Judd but I felt as though they were being bashed around because the director had no script.
Turned off by the predictability …
and the music. Did anybody else reach the point in the theater where you could guess where the "da da da … daaa" (insert dramatic music here) would come in? don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Ashley Judd … I just thought this could have been done soooo much better. A little more twist, a little less predictability
