Buddy (Will Ferrell) was a baby in an orphanage who stowed away in Santa's sack and ended up at the North Pole. Later, as an adult human who happened to be raised by elves, Santa allows him to go to New York City to find his birth father, Walter Hobbs (James Caan). Hobbs, on Santa's naughty list for being a heartless jerk, had no idea that Buddy was even born. Buddy, meanwhile, experiences the delights of New York City (and human culture) as only an elf can. When Walter's relationship with Buddy interferes with his job, he is forced to reevaluate his priorities.Actors

Great Christmas movie, Will Farrell is great
This movie seems to be the go to Christmas movie this year. My first impressions of this film were a little off of what I had originally expected from the coming attractions. I thought this was a movie geared towards young adults maybe 15-25 just by the nature of the comedy used in the film. When I got there I was mistaken. Yes some of the humor in the film was geared towards the age group I mentioned before but the movie as a whole was certainly not. This is really a movie for young kids just with a little laughs for the parents so they don

If you’re under 7, you might like it…
holiday shmaltz and cheese…can you feel love? that warm fuzzy feeling? I’m no scrooge, but no thanks. Doesn’t John Favreau have better things to do than to come up with this kind of HOLLY-i-wish-they-WOODn’t crap? I can’t tell if he’s sold out or just "growns" out (although physically, he in fact HAS GROWNS OUT). Put it this way, after Made and now this Elf movie, I’m not exactly excited to see his next project.
