An attorney (Ben Affleck) in a rush to make a court appointment to file legal papers involving a multi-million dollar trust accidentally collides with an alcoholic insurance salesman (Samuel Jackson), who also is a rush for a court appointment involving the custody of his children. The attorney leaves the scene of the accident and strands the salesman, causing him to miss his custody hearing. During the process of the post-crash discussion, the attorney accidentally drops the papers he needs to present in court. The judge gives him until the end of the day to present the papers and thus begins a cat and mouse game between the proponents. A few questionable actions later on both parties' part, they finally start questioning their actions and their lives. In the end, both come to new understanding of what is important and appear to be set in new ethical and moral directions. Contains mild violence and profanity.Actors

Well thought out and very well acted.
Just watch the trailer. It contains all the necessary plot elements.
Too weak at some parts but well acted

It was good but slow or maybe lacking in something I just can’t put my finger on
I’m a big Affleck fan so I had to see this movie but I found myself dozing off in spots. From the previews I thought it would be more exciting I guess. It was interesting but could have been better. Samuel Jackson did a great job.

Came up short…..
Changing Lanes has a great preview and an even better premise, what do you do when someone is seriously screwing with your entire life? The main problem with the film lies in the fact that you can not identify with either of the main characters. Both have weak sub-stories/backrounds and frankly I did not care what happened. The film tried to hard to make us feel for both characters leaving the viewer in a tangled mess. What could have been a great classic was unfortunately reduced to a video store rental.
ending was average but pretty good overall
decent story of a downward spiral set in the lives of two people on one day.
reminded me a little of falling down, decent, wished better action ending though
