A rap version of "Saturday Night Fever." B-Rabbit, a wannabe rapper from the wrong side of Detroit's 8 Mile, has problems: he dumps his girlfriend when she tells him she's pregnant; to save money to make a demo tape, he moves into his alcoholic mom's trailer; his job's a dead end, and he's just choked at the local head-to-head rap contest. Things improve when he meets Alex - an aspiring model headed for New York - and a fast-talking pal promises to set up the demo. Then new setbacks: Alex isn't faithful, mom rejects him, rifts surface with his friends, and he's mugged by rivals. Everything hinges on the next rap showdown at the club. Can B-Rabbit pull truth out of his cap?Actors

i admit i am a fan.
i admit, i am a fan, though i still only give it a 7. it was alright, but nothing too exciting, except of course, for the rap ‘battle’ scenes. i wish that there was more rapping, actually. i think a lot of people would have liked this. . . i mean it is a movie with eminem!
i’m going to go out and get a big sweatshirt, a beanie, some huge baggy jeans, and a sullen face now. i’m sold!
It’s not life-altering cinema…but I enjoyed it
biggest gripe: do we HAVE to see the whole sex scene in the factory? I mean, come on…does EM want everyone to see how he’s a 30-second man?
Give it up for the real Slim Shady!
A great underdog flix
underdog in terms of fighting against all odds to become a man as well as taking charge over your own responsibilities and destiny.
One thing, I found found interesting about this movie was its de-emphasis on gun voilence. Gun means humilation rather than death, as words and fists were used as instrument of battle, both physical and intellectual epressions. An old fashion battles of the wits.
Another thing I enjoyed about this movie that it acknowledge underground hip hop
and other forms of freestyling as a form of independent art.
Excuse me for saying it, but I found this to be an inspiring movie, in a time of mass uncertainity where anything can happen.
terrible, except for the great battle rap scenes
Eminem fans should enjoy.
lot of cussing some action, wish story was better
