Storyline
When Longfellow Deeds, a small-town pizzeria owner and poet, inherits $40 billion from his deceased uncle, he quickly begins rolling in a different kind of dough. Moving to the big city, Deeds finds himself besieged by opportunists all gunning for their piece of the pie. Babe, a television tabloid reporter, poses as an innocent small-town girl to do an exposé on Deeds. Of course, Deeds' sincere naiveté has Babe falling in love with him instead. Ultimately, Deeds comes to find that money truly has the power to change things, but it doesn't necessarily need to change him.

some parts funny, not to be taken seriously.
a funny cute movie, albiet with no originality. hard to really take the superficial characters seriously. how did winona fall for the guy so quickly? it is not to be taken seriously, though so whatever. i like sandler. also, small parts like the foot, and crazy eyes was pretty funny. whatever, enjoy!

I’m a Sandler fan for the most part, and this one was decent. Cute story.

Ironic, coming from a media conglomerate.

a softer sweeter Adam Sandler shines
The film Mr Deeds is about a lovable guy who lives in a small town and suddenly makes it big. It your basic guy falls for girl, girl falls for guy love story. The humor adds everything to this movie, although not Sandler’s best it is defiantly worth seeing.

  6. Day

    don’t think. it’s just fun.

  7. RONA

Predictably Adam Sandler… Wedding Singer is still his best.

Typical Adam Sandler fare. Funny and somewhat witty
Sandler’s back with his next cookie cutter film. Once again he plays the recipient of some large fortune/company left to him by a relative, Billy Madison anyone? Ignoring the fact that this particular story has been beaten to death by Hollywood, the movie is actually entertaining. Sandler plays the regular half wit character he always plays and people that like that character will like this movie, it’s a carbon copy of all the others. The thing I enjoyed most was his interaction with Winona Ryder. She is a refreshing addition to the typical Sandler banter.
