‘Monster Mash?’ More Like Monstrous MUSH…
It was like Universal Pictures and Lucasfilm had a bad car accident, and the resulting mess that splattered all over the screen was VAN HELSING. In surer hands, this would’ve been a great modern-day monster mash classic. As it is, Hugh Jackman should delete this one from his resume, and hope that it never gets mentioned again.
Good fx..
Watched it several times and loved it each time
Rather disapointing.
This move is for the ADD
crazy movie. i wanted to start liking it and loved it for the vampires (sexy!), though it just kept going. . .. and going. . . and going. . . and gettting more and more outrageous. . . in the end, all the pieces didn’t really fit together. not a good movie. everything moved too quickly and scenes were all over the place. is there a thing as too much action? perhaps.
What a great, corny movie this is!
With almost non-stop action and really clever and inventive visuals this is a roller-coaster ride of a movie. If your into CGI this is probably a 7 or 8 on the scale. The best part for me was the opening homage to James Whales’ "Frankenstein". A great little black & white sequence.
Cheesy…
At first I thought this movie had potential, but the cheese factor overpowered the action. In the first 10 minutes my expectations went down the tube. The story line is very predictable. Good for a matinee.
