Good, but expected better
Craptastic.
Craptastic is a perfect word for it. See, it’s not a real word. It’s just a made up word but somehow it seems fitting to describe a movie like this, which seems like it’s about the turn of the century.
The important thing to realize is that it’s just an "alternate universe" story, so the fact that there’s no real streets in venice have no bearing on an alternate universe that can have, well, streets.
It was certainly better than, say, Battlefield Earth, but it wasn’t extraordinary by any means. Just another average money making scheme by those dirty Hollywood people. Some things in here don’t react too well to bullets. Or shivs stuck in the back.
Creativity: HIGH Storyline: LOW
What can I say? This movie runs off of many tales and legends including 007. Movie was best interrupted as a moving comic book.
ugh this movie was sooo bad
The whole plot seemed a little off. The ship they took was silly and they took it into the canals in Venice? And you cannot drive through venice!! There are no streets in Venice!! I get it…let it go because it’s a movie, but just make it any other Italian city and no one will even think about this! How can they be speeding across the ocean but when they stand out on the deck there isn’t even wind. I am usually not this picky, but just blow a little wind and I will be happy. Connery is the high point of this movie, he is always great!!!
