Six months after encountering Samara and her killer video tape, Rachel Keller and her son Aiden leave the city to live in a small rural town where they think they'll be safe. Soon after they arrive, however, Rachel hears about a college student who died nearby in circumstances similar to Samara's past victims. not nearly as good as first

No fear nor point.
I enjoy a great sequel, but this movie made me realize how marketing and greed can ruin an original idea or in this case movie.
This movie seems like an intellectual spoof of the first movie equiviliant to "doubling talking" rather than it’s respected sequel.
Sorry horror fans but the problem is the story.
This is not the original sequel story that was made in Japan, but it is made by the original "Ringu"s director. It has it’s moments but overall it is a letdown. With the original director I had hoped for much better. No way near as creepy as the American "Ring" or the directors original "Ringu" (which is available on Dreamworks DVD and worth a look). My horror jones remains unsatisfied. There are a few more horror flicks coming up, among them: the remake of HOUSE OF WAX 5/6, SHALLOW GROUND 6/10,
THE SKELETON KEY 7/22, RED EYE 8/5, and DARK WATER 8/19. Then there’s NIGHT WATCH 7/29 set in Moscow! If it’s really filmed there it might be interesting.
