After being imprisoned for six years on a grand theft auto charge, Rudy Duncan (Ben Affleck) and his cellmate Nick (James Frain) are finally going to be paroled. After hearing endless stories during his incarceration of Nick's romantic correspondence to a woman named Ashley he has never met (Charlize Theron), Rudy is looking forward to returning to his family and having a fresh cup of hot chocolate. When Nick is killed during a prison riot, Rudy decides to assume Nick's identity upon release from prison and meet up with the unknown woman. Burdened with a base knowledge of Nick's Indian casino employment past, Rudy finds himself in too deep with Ashley's brother Gabriel (Gary Sinise) and is violently forced to cooperate with a casino robbery that Gabriel and his gang have been planning with Nick in mind.Actors

Much better than expected
Fun and clever ride.
I wasn’t expecting much going in to Reindeer Games, but was pleasantly surprised. The story was clever, if not a tad unbelievable, but provided lots of twists and turns right up to the end. The pacing of the movie was nicely balanced between action and quick-thinking/talking from Nick/Rudy (Affleck) trying not to get killed. This movie also had a nice quirky comic element to round it off. And although Reindeer Games may not be win any awards or even be remembered in a few months, it is still a fun and clever ride and I definitely recommend it.
Keeps you at the edge of your seat to the last minute.
It was a good movie. The cast was interesting. Dialog was funny and the plot was extreamly interesting. I recomend it and would definantly see it agian.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to SLAY…
Cliched but briskly executed thriller that wants to be another DIE HARD. Worth an evening, but you’ll like it more at Blockbuster.
One man versus a group of convicts who enlist his help — two words: Very Good!
