   Bigger guns, faster cars,meaner aliens, poorer film
   Many films have suffered from ‘Cash-in Syndrome’, MIB 2 is a first time offender but you can guarantee there will be more to come. MIB 2 had everything that made the first one funny but it was missing the one key ingredient; the laughs. It had bizarre aliens, off-hand remarks about modern society, shiny weapons and vats of slime and mucus. Smith was energetic and amusing, Jones was dry and sarcastic but both were too little too late. There was a confused and strangled plot which appeared to make little sense as it veered violently from its own formula in a desperate attempt to attach the last SFX extravaganza to the next. The villain, Serena (I believe that’s what her name was) failed to take any glory in her mindless destruction, like so many of our favourite sci-fi villains do, and wandered around simply providing a sexy stop gap between Smith’s wise cracks with varying CGI characters. It was these scenes which were the highlights; the dog was naturally amusing and the worm guys were funny enough to pass the time. But despite the energetic efforts of Smith and the droll manner of Jones I couldn’t help but feeling disappointed when the credits rolled.

   I laughed A few parts…like the end chase scene got kinda lame and were a little drawn out. you can tell that there was more to the love between Jay and the girl but it was cut out, but it was amusing!!!

   Laughs, action and scenes with the irresistable Johnny Knoxville are three things this movie was in very short supply of. The special effects were satisfactory. However, maybe the technology could have been put to better use making Laura Flynn Boyle’s bony ass look less repulsive.

    Liked MIB? You should like MIBII
    I loved the original, and this picture is pretty much a repeat of the first. Don’t go expecting to see anything new or unexpected, and you’ll have a great time. BTW, I think Reelerguy should be removed from the roster. I see nothing of value in any of his reviews and ignore them. Otherwise, I look at reviews here before I see a picture, usually…

    Almost as good as the first. ‘Big Trouble’ was funnier.

    3 Fives in a row. It’s a sweep!
    As already mentioned, nothing new here. It’s fun, but nothing innovative or memorable.
