Storyline
Miles Logan is a jewel thief. Things go awry while he's stealing a huge diamond in downtown L.A.: a thief, Deacon, tries a double-cross, the police arrive, and Miles is arrested, but not before he hides the jewel in an air duct of a building under construction. Two years' later, he's out of prison and he heads for the site: it's L.A.'s new police headquarters! Posing as a reassigned cop, Miles gets into the building, but before he can recover the swag, he's partnered with a naive detective and sent out to investigate burglaries. With Deacon on his trail, he must recover the diamond, keep the cops fooled, and do a few good deeds as a detective who can think like a criminal.

Surprisingly funny.
Another average movie, but again Martin Lawrence makes a good $1.00 rental.

This is funny?
What a bad movie. The only reason why I considered even seeing this movie was to hang out with a bunch of friends. What a mistake (the movie part). I don’t see how people find this kind of thing funny. It was down right annoying! The only saving grace of this movie would have to be some of the action sequences, but even those were a yawn. I know I’m the minority on this, so if you know you like this kind of comedy, you’ll probably find your tastes fulfilled.
This movie was pretty funny, but "nothing to Lose" was better

Hilarious!
Blue Streak starts out with three thieves determined to steal a diamond from a museum. Martin Lawrence is sent down to steal the diamond and successfully steals it. However, not knowing that just above him a thief has killed his partner explaining that he doesn’t want to share the wealth.
When Martin confronts the ‘evil’ thief, he is told to hand over the diamond and then is almost killed. Martin runs for his life and hides the diamond in a nearby air-duct in an abandoned building. Eventually, he is caught and is put in prison for 2 years.
Cut to 2 years later. Martin is let out of prison and complains that he only has one shoelace and blames the guard for taking the other. He then is happy to go get his diamond only to find out the abandoned building has been turned into a police headquarters.
He comes up with a plan to get in and pickpockets a police officer, thus creating his new identity as an investigator. All this to get his diamond! Through many hilarious moments with his partner and experiences with other criminals, ‘Blue Streak’ is a funny comedy about a criminal who just wants his diamond back.
Prepare for a unique comedy that provides a lot of laughs!
